SAINT LOUIS U CANCELS F2F GRADUATION RITES
THE SAINT Louis University in Baguio postponed the holding of physical graduation rites because of the quarantine restrictions.
“SLU announces the cancellation of the in-person Commencement Exercises on June 24-25, 2021. This is in compliance with the guidelines and directives of the latest IATF Omnibus Guidelines on the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines,” the university said.
Under Executive Order No. 51 series of 2021 issued by Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, extracurricular activities that involve face-to-face interaction is prohibited.
The school said that graduates may instead participate in a virtual ceremony on August 4, 2021.
Students may apply for diplomas and transcript of records at the Registrar’s Office beginning on July 1. Honor graduates and medalists can also obtain their medals in the same office.
“The official list of honor graduates and graduating students will be published through the official Facebook Account of SLU,” it said.
