PWU, FEU START LIMITED FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES
AFTER two years of distance learning, physical classes finally resumed in the Philippine Women’s University on Monday, February 14.
Medical Technology and Nursing students were the first to attend in-person classes.
“For the past several months, PWU has been working hard to ensure the highest standards of precautionary measures are maintained to keep all participants safe within the campus,” the university said.
“These measures include the full vaccination of participating school staff, classroom retrofitting in compliance with IATF guidelines, disinfection protocols, the implementation of a daily health monitoring system, and comprehensive orientations for both parents and students,” it added.
The school said that “it is just a matter of time” before students taking other courses will also be permitted to attend face-to-face classes.
Meanwhile, the Far Eastern University also reopened its campus for third year to fifth year students of Art Appreciation and Readings in Philippine History.
FEU stated that standard classes will have 35 to 40 students. There will be a primary and a secondary classroom assigned for each section.
A maximum of 20 students are allowed in one classroom to comply with the physical distancing requirement.
“Face-to-face classes offer a good environment for student-centered learning and a good environment for them to generate and share their ideas, thoughts, and questions,” FEU said.
