THE Polytechnic University of the Philippines has secured a spot among the top universities and research institutes in the country, ranking 32nd in the 2024 Elsevier Scopus listing.

According to the publishing company, the ranking is determined based on the volume of published research outputs across various academic fields, as reported on the Scopus website.

“This accomplishment marks a significant milestone for PUP as it continues to promote academic excellence and contribute to national development,” the university stated.

“The university remains dedicated to advancing research and innovation, solidifying its position in the global academic landscape,” the statement added.

The PUP research community, comprising 802 authors and 472 affiliations, has made notable contributions across diverse disciplines, including Computer Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, Decision Sciences, Environmental Science, Arts and Humanities, Business, Management and Accounting, Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy, and Energy.

Through collaborations with 150 organizations, PUP has further enhanced its research impact and strengthened its global academic presence.

The Elsevier Scopus ranking is a globally recognized metric of institutional research impact, honoring universities for their scholarly contributions.
