THE COMMISSION on Audit gave the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila its highest audit rating for 2020.

COA commended the university’s fairness in the presentation of its financial statements.

Because of this, the commission gave an “unmodified opinion” for the financial statements of PLM.

An unmodified opinion is the best audit rating state auditors give as they assess financial reports submitted by government institutions.

“On behalf of the PLM community, we take pride in the clean and transparent financial books of the University since I took office,” President Emmanuel Leyco said.

“COA’s unmodified opinion on PLM is an affirmation of the university’s adherence to good governance. Along with the City of Manila led by Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, PLM shall continue to pursue the mantra of good governance and principles of integrity and social responsibility,” Leyco added.

COA officials also acknowledged the support and cooperation of PLM staff as they carried out the regular audit process through a pandemic year.
