PLM ACCEPTS CLOSE TO 7,000 FRESHMEN FOR NEW SCHOOL YEAR
A TOTAL of 6,924 incoming freshmen have been accepted by the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila for the coming academic year.
The figures were gathered at the conclusion of the school’s admission exam which ran from Nov. 2019 to July 2020.
A new round of 219 students who passed the exam were added to the total based on the update posted on the school’s social media pages last July 9.
PLM announced enrollment shall be done online as the campus will be on lockdown after a spike in Covid19 cases among its staff and employees.
The school earlier gave applicants the chance to retake the examination on July 13 after considering that a ‘digital divide hampered access for some applicants who joined the university’s first fully online entrance exam’.
Start of enrollment will be on August 3, while classes begin on September 3.
Meanwhile, the school also accepted 150 applicants for its College of Medicine.
Like other universities, PLM will also use blended learning schemes to cater to all students.
