PISAY STUDENTS TO REPRESENT PH IN INT’L ASTRONOMY AND ASTROPHYSICS OLYMPIAD
STUDENTS from the Philippine Science High School System qualified for the annual International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad.
STUDENTS from the Philippine Science High School System qualified for the annual International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad.
Patrick Abeleda, Sean Ken Galanza, Caesar Lopez and Yann Lorraine Tenorio, and Mohammad Nur Casib will represent the country in the Olympiad in Chorzow, Poland to be held from August 10 to 20, 2023.
The students are from the PSHS Main Campus and Central Mindanao Campus.
The team’s leaders are Bernard Llaguno and Ronn Marr Perez.
Now on its 16th year, the IOAA aims to promote interest in Astronomy and related STEM subjects through the general education of young people.
The Olympiad also seeks to enhance the development of international contacts among different countries in promoting Astronomy and Astrophysics in schools.
