PALAWAN STATE U DECLARES ACADEMIC BREAK
The Palawan State University will implement an academic break in observance of Lent.
The university released a memorandum addressed to deans, directors and faculty members ordering the suspension of classes from April 1 to 4, 2021.
The suspension covers classes in both online and blended modalities.
“The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs [has] declared a suspension of classes during the Lenten Season for both Online and Blended Modalities, as well as related activities, modules, assignments, and other academic submissions. The said directive applies to ALL levels,” PSU said on Facebook.
It urged students and faculty members to use the time to bond with their families.
“This is to provide EVERYONE with the opportunity to spend time with their families during the Lenten Season, as well as to provide [a] mental break for students and teachers,” it said.
