SOME 11,155 students of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila received cash aid under the Social Amelioration Program for Students of the city government.

PLM said that 6,943 students in higher year levels and 4,212 freshmen received their cash cards in 2021. The cards may be used as debit cards to pay for store or online purchases from merchants that accept Landbank cards.

The P1,000 monthly allowance for September to December had been credited to the cash cards.

PLM President Emmanuel Leyco thanked Manila Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso for his continuous support to the school.

“We are thankful for the continuous support being provided to our students by the City of Manila led by our Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso. The release of the student allowances will help them get through the first semester, especially for the gradual transition to face-to-face learning,” Leyco said.
