THE NUEVA Vizcaya State University will develop a free-range chicken enterprise in the province to help boost chicken produce in the market.

The project, “Establishing a Viable Enterprise using Free Range Chicken Production Technology in Nueva Vizcaya,” aims to produce chicken that can compete with products in the market.

NVSU partnered with the St. Catherine Parish of Nueva Vizcaya Multipurpose Cooperative and Malico Rural Finance Multipurpose Cooperative for the project.

Representatives from NVSU and the said cooperatives inked a Memorandum of Agreement last week.

The Department of Agriculture gave NVSU a P5-million Enhancement Fund for the project.

NVSU also signed a pact with the Sabatan Techno hub for regional consortium Sinag Cagayan Valley to strengthen the ecosystem in Region 2.
