MSU-IIT PROGRAM RECOGNIZED AS TOP PERFORMING SCHOOL IN MELE
A PROGRAM of the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology was recognized as one of the top performing schools in the October and November 2024 Mining Engineering Licensure Examination.
The recognition was conferred during the Special Mass Oath-Taking Ceremony of new mining engineers last week.
The milestone was further highlighted by the achievement of Engr. Gabriel Jose Collado, who secured 4th place with an 88.95% rating.
MSU-IIT secured 2nd place among the Top Performing Schools, boasting an impressive 95.12% passing rate in the licensure exam.
The recognition was formally accepted by EM Faculty members, Engr. Adrian Keith R. Caamiño, Engr. Seigfried D. Kempis, and Engr. Josep Russell S. Paez.
“As highlighted during the recently concluded Academic Summit 2025, the Mining Engineering program has consistently demonstrated excellence since its debut in the MELE in 2017. It topped the institute’s programs with the highest passing percentage of 98.36% up until 2020,” the university said.
“Over the years, the program has maintained its strong performance, ranking 2nd in the institute’s overall engineering licensure rate with a passing percentage of 92.35%,” it added.
