THE MINDANAO State University-General Santos is considering offering a cultural studies program.

MSU said that its English Department discussed the possibility of introducing the Bachelor of Arts in Literary and Cultural Studies program.

The department said that the program will highlight multicultural and interdisciplinary perspectives.

It will help students enhance their communicative competencies in areas of literacy like reading, writing, speaking, listening, critical thinking, interpretation and translation.

“The program is perfectly suited for students who have a strong and diverse interest in culture, literature, and the arts,” MSU said.

The proposal was made during the University Council meeting attended by school officials on April 27, 2022.
