MARIANO MARCOS STATE U STUDENTS WIN IN NATIONAL RADIO CONFERENCE
COMMUNICATIONS students of the Mariano Marcos State University bagged awards in the national radio conference organized by the Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Manila.
“Radyo Republika,” MMSU’s radio news production team, received the People’s Choice Award for its 5-minute entry. It ranked fourth among 17 entries.
Aaron Zandler Guillermo, a sophomore communication student, was named as the competition’s Best Male News Presenter in radio news production.
Joining Guillermo in the team were Ryand Ugalde and Angel Ped who served as news anchors.
Meanwhile, Nympha Borromeo was the scriptwriter; Jonathan Dave Ayala, the news presenter; Jamico Cris Jingco was in charge of infomercial and Casmir Remyell Cadiente was the technical director.
The team was coached by Bryan Realgo, a College of Arts and Sciences communication instructor.
The annual Radio Conference of PUP and the Young Communicator’s Guild aim to provide a platform for student broadcasters and journalists to showcase their talents and skills.
