ISABELA STATE U PARTNERS WITH TWO ORGANIZATIONS TO ENHANCE RESERVIST MANAGEMENT

/ 21 February 2025

ISABELA State University has partnered with two institutions to modernize reservist management and address challenges in reserve force handling.

Dubbed the “Tactical Assignment and Reservist Geo-Tracking System” (TARGET), the project aims to help decision-makers optimize the deployment and utilization of reservists in Isabela.

A memorandum of agreement was signed between ISU, the 202nd Community Defense Center under the 2nd Regional Community Defense Group, and the Southern Isabela College of Arts and Trades.

ISU said TARGET is designed to enhance the tracking, profiling, and monitoring of army reservists.

Developed through an integrated approach, the system will function as an online management information system, providing real-time data on both stand-by and ready reserve personnel.

“The tracking system is an upgrade that is hoped to revolutionize reservist management and performance. It is also backed by data analytics to aid decision-makers regarding the reserve force,” ISU President Dr. Ricmar Aquino said.
