STUDENTS of the Iloilo Science and Technology have received their allowance under the government’s Tertiary Education Subsidy program.

ISAT U President Dr. Raul Muyong said that  1,705 students in various campuses got their cash assistance. Of this number, 132 recipients were new.

Muyong said that 43 of the new grantees came from the Iloilo City campus; 18 from Barotac Nuevo; 31 from Leon and Miagao campuses respectively; and nine from Dumangas.

“We are very happy that we have seen additional grantees this year,” he said.

TES assists students by providing them financial assistance to continue their college education.

“We have been emphasizing that as ‘Iskolar ng Bayan’ their main responsibility is to study seriously, commit to study and finish the course they have enrolled in this university. In the end they would be able to help their siblings, their families and other people in the community,” Muyong said.
