AN assistant professor of the Far Eastern University bagged the Best Paper Award for Hospitality in the 8th Asia Euro Research Conference 2023 held recently in Toulouse, France.

Asst. Prof. Marichu Liwanag of FEU Institute of Hospitality and Management conducted the study along with her co-author Dr. Anna Pamela Jonson.

They were recognized for their study “Post Analysis on the Factors Academic Performance of Tourism and Hospitality Student during the Covid19 Pandemic: Basis of HEI’s Enhanced Learning Continuity Plan.”

“This is the first International Award given and you have made yourself and FEU immensely proud. May this be the beginning of a glorious journey filled with many more International research presentations and publications,” the school said.

“FEU and the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management are so proud of your achievement on this International Award,” it added.

Organized by University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès and Taylor’s University, the three-day conference is designed to tackle the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities facing the tourism, hospitality, and gastronomy sectors in the context of global changes and transformative future.
