THE INSTITUTE  of Tourism and Hospitality Management of the Far Eastern University has maintained its position as an Asia Pacific Institute for Events Management International Center of Excellence for another four years.

The accreditation confirms that ITHM’s events and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) curriculum is of international standard, the school said.

“This international accreditation is a testament to FEU-ITHM’s commitment to professionalize the event management, tourism,and hospitality industry in the country,” Joy Sheelah Era, dean of FEU ITHM, said.

Three ITHM faculty were accredited as APIEM Professional Members in recognition of their educational experience in events management. They are Dr. Carolina Roces, Dr. Chrisdie Tonaol and Dr. John Malonzo.

APIEM said that its relationship with FEU has deepened considerably.

The international organization said it looks forward to continuing initiatives on the professionalization of the events and MICE industry in the Philippines.

APIEM is an operating subsidiary of the United Kingdom Event Industry Academy Ltd.
