EX-4PS BENEFICIARY LANDS 2ND IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING LICENSURE EXAM

4 May 2025

A FORMER child monitored by the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) has made headlines once again, this time by securing second place in the April 2025 Licensure Examination for Electrical Engineering.

Mustafa Rescober Ali, a native of Santa Cruz, Marinduque, graduated cum laude from Rizal Technological University in Mandaluyong City. His remarkable achievement adds to the growing list of former 4Ps beneficiaries excelling in various licensure exams.

DSWD spokesperson Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao extended congratulations to Mustafa, expressing pride in his success. “We hope his story of perseverance and dedication inspires more 4Ps children to chase their dreams,” Dumlao stated.

Mustafa’s success follows another notable feat by Jayvee Fuentebella, a former 4Ps beneficiary from Bacolod City, who topped the April Electronics Technician Licensure Examination with a 95% score.

In 2024 alone, nearly 40,000 former 4Ps beneficiaries passed board exams, with 65 emerging as topnotchers.

The 4Ps program remains a vital poverty reduction and human capital investment strategy in the Philippines, with the DSWD leading the initiative to support eligible households in health, education, and nutrition.
