DSSC LAUNCHES AGRI-BASED COMMUNITY RADIO
THE DAVAO del Sur State College launched the first agri-based community radio station to help farmers.
The college partnered with the Department of Agriculture to implement the project dubbed “Smart Agri Radio.”
“The state college will now be able to bridge and close the gap between the academic community and farming community,” DSSC said.
The radio station for farmers will be able to translate the research to package knowledge products and technology transfers.
This will enable farmers to gain access to research-based knowledge to help develop their livelihoods.
The radio station is the first in the province, and has been in the test broadcast stage.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held by university officials and representatives from the DA Region 11 at the DSSC Main campus in Matti, Digos City.
