THE DAVAO Oriental State University and the local government of San Isidro inked a memorandum of agreement for a community development project.

DorSU President Roy G. Ponce and Mayor Justina MB Yu signed the MOA on Tuesday.

The “SAFE Program: Social Awareness, Fairness, and Equity at the Time of Pandemic and Beyond” aims to curb cases of domestic abuse.

The project, initiated by DorSU’s Gender and Development Office, includes safeguarding against forms of domestic and sexual abuse.

The school will shoulder the expenses and handle advocacy development, training and seminars and social education campaign.

The municipality of San Isidro, on the other hand, will ensure the participation, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for the program.
