THE DEPARTMENT of Agriculture granted the Isabela State University a P1.5-million support to finance agricultural research studies.
ISU, along with other state universities and colleges, inked a memorandum of agreement with DA via virtual conference on Tuesday.
“The funding allocation aims to support research studies to build databases for agriculture and rural development in respective SUC areas,” ISU said.
“Among the studies’ focus areas include continuing review and validation of Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture; impact assessment of DA’s program on target communities; analysis of technology utilization of farmers and fisherfolks; and survey on the current sources of funding for production activities of farmers and fisherfolks,” it added.
Several key figures from ISU and DA were present during the virtual meet.
