DR. REXTON Chakas, the current president of the Mountain Province State Polytechnic College, will continue to head the school until a new president gets elected.

The MPSPC Board of Trustees passed Referendum No. 005 s. 2022 assigning Chakas as the Officer-in-Charge of the college.

The order took effect on July 26.

Chakas assumed his second term as president in February 2019.

Before becoming president, he served as MPSPC’s Board Secretary for 21 years.

He also served as the vice president for Administration and Finance in 2014 and dean of the Graduate School for four years in 2016.
