CENTRAL LUZON STATE U FACULTY HELP IPs IN NUEVA ECIJA
SOME faculty members of the Central Luzon State University College of Arts and Social Sciences conducted livelihood trainings for the indigenous people of Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija.
The trainings, under the project “Building Better Communities: Transformation of Missed Opportunities into Economic Competitiveness thru Science and Technology,” aim to help communities through interventions.
The IPs were trained on Stone Processing Technology to make displays and souvenirs from processed stones and were provided with farm tool kits, fertilizers, and seedlings which were donated by the Department of Science and Technology Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology.
The faculty also conducted a series of seminars, workshops and lectures on policy-making and ethical leadership. Also, the IPs attended a lecture on psychological first aid.
The project has a budget of P1.7 million and was implemented from August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2022 in Gabaldon, Cayupo, and Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija.
