THE CARAGA State University has partnered with the Department of Science and Technology’s Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development to help with tax mapping.

They launched a project dubbed “Manage Your Assets, Properties and Map It for Visualization” or MapX, which aims to help real property owners and the government in administering property tax.

Officials from CarSU and the PCIEERD launched MapX at the CSU grounds in Butuan City.

“The project endeavors to improve the efficiency in the current process of administering real property tax, especially in digitizing tax maps,” CarSU said on its website.

“MapX has developed an online platform using advanced technologies to create and digitize maps. It is paired with a mobile app for easy & convenient payment of property tax,” it added.

The city government will adopt the program to facilitate mapping transactions.
