CAGAYAN STATE U TO HAVE NEW CAMPUS IN SOLANA TOWN
THE CAGAYAN State University will soon have a new campus in Solana town to cater to more students.
This was made possible with the signing by President Rodrigo Duterte of Republic Act 11858 or the law turning the former Extension of Andrews campus into an independent one.
CSU President Urdujah Alvarado said the campus is located in Barangay Iraga as proposed by Cagayan 3rd District representative Joseph Lara.
The land where the new campus will stand was donated by Lara’s wife, Zara.
Once finished, it will be the 9th campus of CSU, in addition to the Andrews, Aparri, Carig, Gonzaga, Lal-lo, Lasam, Piat, and Sanchez Mira campuses.
The new campus is expected to initially offer programs like Agriculture, Fisheries, Criminology, Elementary Education and Information Technology.
