BULACAN STATE U UNVEILS SAN RAFAEL CAMPUS
THE BULACAN State University has unveiled its San Rafael Campus which will cater to more students in 2023.
School administrators and officials led the ribbon-cutting ceremony of its new campus located along the bypass road in the municipality of San Rafael, Bulacan on Wednesday.
The campus currently has 189 students, but its population is expected to rise to 600 next year.
The students of the San Rafael campus are currently studying at the BulSU Main Campus in Malolos and will transfer to the new campus next year.
The campus has two four-story academic buildings with 20 classrooms and is expected to cater to 3,000 to 4,000 students.
Bulacan 3rd District Representative Lorna Silverio said that the campus is still under development as more facilities will soon rise.
“We still need to put up other buildings to house the laboratories. Kasi magpapatayo pa kami ng ospital dito. Iyon ang dream. Iyon ang dream ko, magkaroon kami ng isang ospital dito para ‘yon ang training hospital,” Silverio said.
The campus was established after Republic Act 11329 lapsed into law in 2019.
The campus will offer graduate, undergraduate, and short-term technical-vocational courses and will enroll students from San Rafael and nearby towns.
