THE BILIRAN Province State University unveiled a new scientific laboratory that will boost the university’s research capabilities.

BiPSU said that its new Microbiology Laboratory will help the institution champion regional research.

The laboratory is a project under the “Selected Foodborne Contaminants and Shelf-life of Eastern Visayas Street-vended Native Crop-based Delicacies: Determining Consumer’s Willingness To Pay (WTP) for Food Safety Attributes” program.

It is one of the deliverables of the project which has a budget of P5 million funded by the Department of Science and Technology-National Research Council of the Philippines.

The new lab is located at the old Ceramics Building of the university.

An unveiling ceremony was conducted on March 23, 2023, which was attended by school officials and project members.
