THE BICOL State University paid tribute to its former associate dean Ruben Cardiño who passed away last Friday.

Cardiño died on December 4, 2020 at the age of 41. The cause of death was not disclosed.

Cardiño was taking his doctorate degree in Philosophy at the De La Salle University before he was designated as the associate dean of the College of Social Science and Philosophy of the university.

“With deep sadness, the Bicol University family mourns the death of one of its faculty members, Prof. Ruben Cardiño,” BU said on Facebook.

“Let’s offer prayers for the eternal repose of his soul. May the bereaved family find strength and comfort in their sorrow,” it added.

Students and other members of the BU also paid tribute to the late professor as they noted his “inspiring” stint as an educator.
