THE BENGUET State University earned a three-star rating in the QS Star World University Rankings, the BSU International Relations Office announced on Facebook.

According to QS Star World University Rankings, a three star university is well recognized nationally and attracts international recognition. It also maintains a reputable level of research and employers give importance to its graduates.

BSU earned ratings in the following criteria: five stars for teaching, five stars for employability, two stars for internationalization, four stars for academic development, four stars for facilities, five stars for inclusiveness, and four stars for specialist criteria: education.

The office said that the university is qualified for four-star ratings but it needs to increase the presence of international students by at least 1%.

QS Star is a rating system that provides a detailed look at an institution. Students can use it as a basis in identifying which universities are the best in terms of research, teaching, academic development, employability, internationalization, facilities, online/distance learning, social responsibility, innovation, arts and culture, inclusiveness, and specialist criteria.

After the assessment, universities are awarded with an overall star result which ranges from 0 to 5+ stars, depending on the number of points achieved from the evaluation.
