ATENEO SHS STUDENTS BAG AWARDS IN INT’L DEBATE TILT
SENIOR High School students of Ateneo de Manila University bagged two championships in the Warwick Schools Tournament 2021 held virtually last November 20 to 21.
Grade 12 learners Elio Bejarin and Johann Bernardo were the Gold Champions in the Open Division.
Bejarin was the Overall Best Open Speaker, while Bernardo was named 3rd Best Open Speaker.
Meanwhile, Grade 11 learners Hannah Alcasid and Aliyah Herlihy were named as Novice Champions in the Novice Division.
Alcasid was recognized as 2nd Best Novice Speaker, while Herlihy was named 3rd Best Novice Speaker.
Several teams from Ateneo also finished as top contenders in tournament.
“Isabella Balde and Eliana Lim ended their run as Gold Finalists. Individually, Balde was named 9th Best Open Speaker while Lim was named Overall Best Novice Speaker,” the university said.
“Naomi Ang Anton Abiera bowed out of the tournament as Bronze Finalists. Additionally, Ang tied with Balde for the 9th Best Speaker citation,” it added.
