The Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology Department of Development Communication will hold a series of webinars about the role of multi-media in peacebuilding.

Dubbed as “Multi-media in Peace-building: Challenges and Know-how,” the webinar will be divided into two parts on April 12 and 14, 2021, from 2:00 P.M to 5:00 P.M.

Dr. Pandeli Pani, Senior Adviser, Expert Consultant, and Trainer of Deutsche Welle Akademie, Media Development, Asia & Europe will be discussing The Role of Media in Peace-building, Conflict Management, and Prevention with a special focus on Social Media on the first day.

Prof. Rechelle Ann T. Barraquias, Chairperson, Development Communication Department, Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan, Cagayan de Oro City, on the other hand, will talk about Conflict-Sensitive Journalism on Broadcast Writing: Contributing to Peace.
