SENATOR Bam Aquino encouraged youth organizations that have created meaningful and lasting impact in their communities to participate in the search for the 22nd Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) Awards.

Organized by the TAYO Foundation, with support from the offices of Senators Bam Aquino and Francis Pangilinan, the TAYO Awards is considered the country’s premier recognition program honoring outstanding youth-led organizations and their contributions to nation-building.

Aquino highlighted the vital role of young Filipinos in advancing positive change and called on qualified organizations nationwide to showcase programs and initiatives that have transformed lives and strengthened communities.

“The Filipino youth have always been at the forefront of positive change in the country and in our communities. Through the TAYO Awards, we aim to recognize and honor organizations that demonstrate dedication to serving the nation and their fellow Filipinos,” Aquino said.

He noted that inspiring stories of youth leadership continue to emerge from various parts of the Philippines and urged youth groups to submit projects and programs that have created a lasting impact.

According to the TAYO Awards Foundation, this year’s search carries the theme “Magiting,” inspired by the line from the Philippine National Anthem, “duyan ka ng magiting.”

The foundation said the theme reflects the resilience and courage of young Filipinos in addressing pressing challenges such as conflict, corruption, disinformation, and widening social inequalities.

“We live in a time marked by disruption, war, corruption, disinformation, and widening social inequalities. Yet amid these conditions, young people continue to co-own problems and co-create solutions,” the foundation said.

It added that the awards seek to recognize youth organizations that embody collective responsibility and remain committed to serving communities despite difficult circumstances.

The search is open to Filipino youth organizations with at least five members and a project or program implemented from September 2024 to March 2026.

Entries may be submitted under six categories: Environment, Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation; Culture, Arts and Heritage; Education and Technology; Health, Well-Being and Human Development; Livelihood and Entrepreneurship; and Leadership and Governance.

Awardees and finalists will receive the iconic TAYO trophy designed by renowned Filipino sculptor Toym Imao. Winners will also have the opportunity to receive grants of up to P2 million, along with special awards and recognition from TAYO’s partners and sponsors.

Participants will also become part of the growing TAYO Alumni Network, which connects youth leaders and organizations from across the Philippines.

Applications for the 22nd TAYO Awards will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on July 31, 2026.
