SENATOR Mark Villar underscored the vital role of the youth in nation-building as he recognized graduating students across the country through the Mark Villar Leadership Awards. The initiative honors learners who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, responsibility, and service within their school communities.

This year’s awardees hail from various public high schools, including Baybay City Senior High School, Camarines Sur National High School, Iloilo National High School, Leyte National High School, Masbate National Comprehensive High School, Negros Occidental High School, New Ormoc City National High School, and Ormoc City Senior High School.

Through programs that highlight both leadership and academic excellence, Villar reaffirmed his commitment to empowering Filipino youth and expanding opportunities for the next generation—ensuring that deserving students, regardless of background, are recognized and supported.

The senator also acknowledged the perseverance of this year’s graduates and completers nationwide, citing their ability to overcome challenges and remain steadfast in their pursuit of education—reflecting the resilience and determination of Filipino students.

Villar concluded by extending his congratulations to the awardees, graduates, and completers, as well as to their families and mentors who supported them throughout their academic journey.
