1,998 PASS JANUARY 2026 ARCHITECTURE LICENSURE EXAM; UP GRADUATE TOPS LIST

A TOTAL of 1,998 examinees out of 2,434 successfully passed the January 2026 Architecture Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported on Tuesday.

The exams were conducted on January 20 and 22 across multiple testing centers, including Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

Topping the board exams was John Michael Padin Jetican of the University of the Philippines – Diliman, earning a remarkable 90.90% rating. Following him were Joshua San Miguel de Lara from Bulacan State University – Malolos with 88.50%, and Mikhail Acilo Ocampo of Mapúa University at 88.30%.

Meanwhile, Bicol University – Legazpi emerged as the top-performing school among institutions with 50 or more examinees, posting a 98.63% passing rate. Close behind were University of Santo Tomas (97.33%) and Holy Angel University (96.77%), reflecting consistent excellence in architectural education across the country.

This year’s licensure exams tested candidates on a combination of theoretical knowledge, design principles, and practical skills, ensuring that newly licensed architects are prepared to meet both national and international standards in sustainable and innovative architectural practices.
