/ 15 January 2026

THE BATANGAS Provincial Government has reinforced its support for public education with the distribution of essential teaching tools to educators across the province, led by Governor Vilma Santos-Recto at the Provincial Capitol Compound.

On January 12, the provincial government handed out 650 laptops for elementary school teachers and 95 Smart TVs for selected schools set to benefit from satellite internet connectivity.

These are intended to strengthen digital learning and improve classroom instruction, particularly in remote and underserved areas.

Also distributed were various instructional materials, including 395 political maps, 395 globe maps, and 240 interactive and creative learning tools designed to enhance student engagement and comprehension.

To further upgrade the delivery of technological-vocational education in secondary schools, the province awarded 46 laboratory tables with corresponding tools, 46 heavy-duty sewing machines, and 190 two-burner gas stoves to support hands-on learning.

Earlier, the provincial government had also distributed 558 laptops to junior and senior high school teachers as part of its continuing education support program.

During the ceremony, Governor Santos-Recto underscored the vital role of teachers and the need to provide them with adequate resources.

“Prayoridad ko na maibigay ang mga kailangang tools ng ating mga guro para mas mapabuti at maiangat pa nila ang antas ng pagtuturo sa mga pampublikong paaralan,” the governor said.
