SOLON ELATED OVER ESSU’S 100-PERCENT PASSING RATE IN NURSING LICENSURE EXAM
EASTERN Samar Lone District Rep. Christopher Sheen Gonzales extended his warmest congratulations to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates of Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) in Borongan City for achieving a 100-percent passing rate in the Nursing Licensure Examination for the eighth consecutive time.
“This remarkable feat is a testament to the hard work, discipline, and perseverance of our ESSU nursing graduates, and to their unwavering commitment to the profession,” Gonzales said.
“To our new nurses: your achievement brings great pride to Eastern Samar. May you continue this tradition of excellence as you enter the workforce and serve with compassion, integrity, and purpose,” he added.
Gonzales also commended ESSU for its sustained commitment to academic excellence.
“The university continues to produce highly proficient, well-trained, and service-oriented graduates—professionals who are ready to join the labor force, secure meaningful employment, and uplift the lives of their families,” he said.
“This milestone highlights not only the brilliance and dedication of our ESSU nursing graduates but also the growing strength of our homegrown institutions in Eastern Samar. Their success is our province’s success, proving that with the right support and quality education, our young people can excel at the national level,” Gonzales added.
According to the Professional Regulation Commission, all 32 ESSU nursing graduates who took the November 2025 NLE passed. In the May 2025 NLE, all 67 ESSU examinees likewise passed.
Gonzales is the author of two House bills aimed at further strengthening ESSU: one establishing a new regular campus in the Municipality of Balangiga, and another upgrading the ESSU satellite unit in the Municipality of Arteche into a regular campus.
