UST MAINTAINS SPOT IN 2026 WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS

WITH notable improvements in three indicators, the University of Santo Tomas has maintained its position in the 1501+ bracket of the 2026 Times Higher Education World University Rankings, released on October 9, 2025.
The latest ranking reaffirms UST’s continued presence in the global academic landscape, reflecting its efforts to strengthen institutional performance and sustain excellence amid growing international competition.

UST recorded progress in the Teaching category, which measures reputation, student–staff ratio, doctorate–bachelor and doctorate–staff ratios, and institutional income.

Similar gains were observed in the Research Environment, which assesses research productivity, reputation, and income.

UST likewise improved in the Industry indicator, which evaluates patents and industry-generated income.

By sustaining its ranking, UST remains among the top three universities in the Philippines, sharing the 1501+ bracket with De La Salle University, Mapúa University, and Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology.
