UPLB NAMED TOP-PERFORMING SCHOOL AGAIN IN 2025 FOOD TECHNOLOGIST LICENSURE EXAM

THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Los Baños  has once again emerged as a top-performing school in the Food Technologist Licensure Examination (FTLE), earning the distinction for the third consecutive year.

UPLB qualified for the honor after fielding 90 examinees, 82 of whom passed the August 2025 computer-based FTLE held nationwide on August 14–15.

Fifteen UPLB passers made it to the top ten list, led by Jessica Mei Tuazon Patasin, who ranked third with a rating of 87 percent.

Julianne Mae Marguerette Racho Albos and Mayjed Gonzaga Añasco both secured fifth place with identical scores of 86.50 percent.

Meanwhile, Vince Carl Calaylay Balbuena, John Lovell Engracia Fetalino, and Eliezer Pileo Valencia Jr. followed in sixth place with 86.25 percent.

Genelyn Alilly Cabrera San Juan placed seventh with 86 percent, while six others shared the ninth spot with 85.50 percent.

Finally, Karen Joy Atitiw Cachola and Iole Ruth de Sagon Sanchez rounded out UPLB’s topnotchers, both ranking tenth with 85.25 percent.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 586 out of 931 examinees (62.94%) passed the August 2025 FTLE.
