DEPED VISITS BIÑAN SCHOOL

/ 18 June 2025

AS PART of its ongoing monitoring of school opening activities, the Department of Education  visited the Biñan Secondary School of Applied Academics.

During the visit, officials held discussions with teachers, school leaders, Parent-Teacher Association representatives, and nearby school heads, focusing on one of the most pressing concerns in the area: the shortage of classrooms.

Joining the visit were outgoing Mayor and Congressman-elect Arman Dimaguila Jr., incoming Mayor and current Vice Mayor Gel Alonte, and Congresswoman Len Alonte.

DepEd officials and local government leaders assured stakeholders that collaboration would be key in identifying buildable areas for the construction of additional classrooms.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara said the visit was made even more meaningful as it coincided with the last day in office of Schools District Superintendent Manuela Tolentino.

“Naging makabuluhan din ang pagbisita dahil ito ay tumapat sa huling araw ng panunungkulan ni Schools District Superintendent Manuela Tolentino sa DepEd.”

“Maraming salamat po, Ma’am, sa inyong mga dekada ng tapat na serbisyo. Maligayang pagreretiro po!”
