VALENZUELA RELEASES GUIDELINES ON SUSPENSION OF CLASSES
THE CITY government of Valenzuela on Thursday released guidelines on suspension of classes.
Classes in pre-school and kindergarten in public and private schools will be automatically suspended once the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration raised the storm signal no.1 in the city.
However, Valenzuela Live will continue to broadcast lessons as well as other class discussions. Post-broadcast lessons will be available at the Department of Education Valenzuela’s dedicated Youtube channel.
Classes in elementary up to high school will be suspended if storm signal number 2 was declared. Students however were advised to continue their studies using self-paced learning.
Work in all DepEd offices and affected areas will be automatically suspended once the storm signal was raised to Signal No.3. Airing of Valenzuela Live and other class discussions will likewise be suspended.
The city said that in the absence of typhoon signal warnings, it will implement localized suspension subject to the discretion of the local chief executive.
