DEPED ELECTION COMMAND CENTER RECEIVES 160 REPORTS
THE DEPARTMENT of Education Election Command Center has received 160 election-related reports.
According to its Election Task Force update, as of 1:30 pm, the command center had received reports mainly concerning vote counting machines (VCM), absent voter names on the list, and health-related issues of teachers and personnel.
DepEd stated that these concerns were immediately addressed in coordination with the Commission on Elections (Comelec), Philippine National Police (PNP), and other agencies.
The task force continues to coordinate with concerned agencies to ensure prompt responses, in line with the directive of Education Secretary Sonny Angara, DepEd said.
“Following the directive of Secretary Sonny Angara, the Task Force, led by Usec. Malcolm Garma, is in continuous coordination with the Regional and Division ETF teams to ensure swift action and support for every incident related to the welfare and safety of DepEd teachers and personnel currently on election duty,” it added.
Politicians, television personalities, and celebrities were among those who cast their votes, sharing moments from the polling precincts on their social media accounts.
