THE POLYTECHNIC University of the Philippines has been officially recognized as a new member of the ASEAN University Network, strengthening its position in regional academic collaboration.

PUP recently became an Associate Member University with a thematic affiliation to the AUN Quality Assurance. This recognition followed the university’s fulfillment of key eligibility requirements, including accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges & Universities in the Philippines Inc. and the Commission on Higher Education.

“PUP is now officially part of the ASEAN University Network, marking a significant milestone in expanding the university’s reach in education and quality assurance,” said PUP President Dr. Manuel Muhi.

With this membership, PUP will gain access to various AUN-QA programs, allowing it to collaborate with leading institutions in the ASEAN region. The university will also participate in meetings and conferences for Chief Quality Officers and have its study programs evaluated under the AUN-QA framework.

Prof. Rebecca E. Palma, Assistant Director for Institutional & International Quality Assurance, emphasized the benefits of joining AUN-QA, including enhanced international reputation, standardized quality, mobility for students and faculty, and collaborative research opportunities.
