UPV STUDENTS DOMINATE 20TH REGIONAL MID-YEAR CONVENTION

ACCOUNTANCY students from the University of the Philippines Visayas emerged as the overall champion of the Academic League at the 20th Regional Mid-Year Convention of the National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants.

The UPV teams won multiple academic competitions, securing championships in the Taxation Cup, Advanced Financial Accounting & Reporting Cup, Management Advisory Services Cup, and the Management Advisory Services Case Study Competition.

They also placed first runner-up in the Basic Accounting Cup and RAQDOWN, and second runner-up in the Financial Accounting & Reporting Cup and Auditing Cup.

In the Non-Academic League, UPV continued its strong performance, claiming championship titles in Poetry and Spoken Word, first runner-up in Digital Slogan Making and Amazing Race, and second runner-up in Essay Writing.

One of the highlights of the event was the Search for Mr. and Ms. Ambassadors of Goodwill 2025, where UPV’s Sean Pierre Real and Alexia Anne Amamanglon won the titles.

The RMYC is an annual gathering of accountancy students organized by the NFJPIA – Region VI Chapter.

The 20th NFJPIA RMYC was organized in partnership with P&A Grant Thornton, co-presented by PwC Philippines, Reo CPA Review, and HideAway Samgyupsal, and in cooperation with SGV & Co.
