UST EDUCATION PROGRAMS RANK SECOND IN PH IN 2025 WORLD RANKINGS
THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas achieved another academic milestone, with its College of Education programs earning inclusion in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject.
The undergraduate and graduate education programs were ranked in the 501-601 bracket, securing the #2 spot among Philippine schools in education studies.
UST was previously designated as a Center of Excellence for Teacher Education by the Teacher Education-Center of Excellence on November 27, 2024, reinforcing its reputation for academic leadership.
To qualify for the THE rankings, the university met stringent criteria, including publishing at least 1,000 research outputs during the evaluation period, with over 100 publications in education studies.
Additionally, UST’s Medicine program gained recognition in the Medical and Health category, reflecting its broad academic and research strengths across various disciplines.
The rankings are based on several indicators: teaching (29.5%), research environment (29%), research quality (30%), international outlook (7.5%), and industry engagement (4%), ensuring a holistic approach to evaluating excellence.
