LAPU-LAPU CITY HONORS 3 RESIDENTS FOR TOP BOARD EXAM RESULTS
THE LOCAL government of Lapu-Lapu City has recognized three topnotchers from the city for earning spots in the top 10 of various board examinations.
The honorees are Kyle Christian Tutor, who ranked first in the 2024 Bar Examination; Antoneth Acedre, who placed sixth in the September 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers; and Dana Athena Augusto, who secured 10th place in the Radiologic Technology Board Examination.
Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard Chan commended Tutor for bringing pride and honor to the city, highlighting his role as a model for fellow residents. A resident of Brgy. Gun-ob, Tutor received a certificate of appreciation and a monetary gift from the mayor. Tutor achieved an impressive 85.77% passing rate in the Bar exams.
According to Supreme Court Bar Chairperson Associate Justice Mario Lopez, only 3,962 out of 10,490 examinees passed, reflecting a national passing rate of 37.8%.
Meanwhile, Acedre and Augusto were recognized through separate Facebook posts by Mayor Chan and City Lone District Congresswoman Ma. Cynthia King-Chan.
Augusto achieved a 91% passing rate to secure 10th place in the Radiologic Technology Board Examination. Acedre clinched the sixth spot in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers with a promising score of 93.40%.
Board passers who are bona fide residents and registered voters of Lapu-Lapu City are entitled to a P10,000 cash incentive.
