UE LAUNCHES THREE-YEAR COLLEGE DEGREE PROGRAMS IN BUSINESS
THE UNIVERSITY of the East is offering fast-tracked baccalaureate programs in business, allowing students to earn a degree in three academic years.
The UE College of Business Administration’s accelerated programs — BS in Business Administration majoring in Business Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, and Business Economics — can be completed in three school years, with six semesters and two summer terms.
“We want to enable our students to earn their degrees sooner so they can begin their careers early and seize opportunities ahead toward building a brighter future,” UE President and Chief Academic Officer Zosimo Battad said.
By streamlining higher education, UE supports the government’s goal of making college education more efficient and accessible.
“UE’s accelerated baccalaureate programs reflect our commitment to aligning with the government’s vision for our youth to spend fewer years in getting tertiary education without compromising education quality,” Battad added.
The BS in Management Accounting can be completed in three and a half years, with seven semesters and two summer terms. The first two years align with the BS in Accountancy program, allowing qualified students to shift to Accountancy based on retention policies.
The programs follow Commission on Higher Education (CHED) guidelines on subjects, units, and policies.
UE’s business programs have been its flagship offerings since its founding in 1946 as a CPA review center. Notable graduates include Supreme Court Associate Justice Japar Dimaampao, former Vice President Noli De Castro, Megaworld Corporation Founding Chairman Andrew Tan, and SGV & Co. Chairman Wilson Tan.
