KARL Eldrew Yulo led the Philippine pre-junior and junior gymnasts at the 3rd JRC Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, winning four gold medals over three days and surpassing his three golds from last year's event.
KARL Eldrew Yulo led the Philippine pre-junior and junior gymnasts at the 3rd JRC Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, winning four gold medals over three days and surpassing his three golds from last year’s event.
The 16-year-old excelled in the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) Junior individual all-around, floor exercise, still rings, and vault events. He also earned silver medals in the parallel bars and all-around team event, bringing his total to six medals.
Other Filipino standout performers included Jacob Alvarez, Andrei De Leon, Prince Sumabal, Chelsea Lynn Hong, and Ma. Elizabeth Medina. Alvarez dominated the MAG pre-junior division, claiming golds in five events, while De Leon and Sumabal each secured two golds in the Australian Level Competitions (ALC) MAG level 3.
Hong achieved three golds in the ALC women’s artistic gymnastics (WAG) level 2, and Medina won two golds in WAG level 4.
Overall, the Philippine teams amassed a remarkable total of 34 medals, including 21 golds, nine silvers, and four bronzes. (Sourced online)
