A FACULTY member of Centro Escolar University was awarded Best Presenter during the 4th International Educators Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.

Raymond Peralta earned recognition for his research paper titled “Development and Evaluation of a Course Management System with Short Messaging Service Notification.”

The study focused on the development and evaluation of a new, privately-owned Course Management System with SMS notification for CEU.

The research employed a developmental and descriptive survey design. Evaluation results showed that faculty members were highly satisfied with the system, rating it as highly acceptable across all criteria, including functional suitability, performance efficiency, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, and maintainability.

“Students, on the other hand, rated the system as very acceptable for each criterion. The study suggests that while the system meets faculty needs, further improvements are necessary to address student requirements,” CEU explained.

Suggested enhancements include refining the user interface, adding features such as online quizzes and exams, enabling communication through chat rooms, and enhancing security measures like archiving deleted files and accounts for both students and faculty.
