3 CEU ALUMNI HONORED IN 11TH PFPA EXCELLENCE AWARDS
THREE alumni of the Centro Escolar University were honored in the 11th Philippine Federation of Professional Associations, Inc. Excellence Awards during its awarding ceremonies at the UP Bahay ng Alumni in Diliman, Quezon City.
These are Dr. Maria Concepcion Anda, Dr. Jane Cecille Quijano-Cadag, and Dr. Irene Christine C. Peliño.
“These awards highlight the significant contributions and dedication of CEU alumni to the field of optometry both locally and internationally,” the university said.
Anda, Program Head of the Department of Optometry in CEU Malolos, received the award in the Academe/Research and Development Category.
She is the President of the IPAO QC Central Chapter and she also represents the Philippines as an Ambassador for the International Association of Contact Lens Educators.
Meanwhile, Quijano-Cadag was recognized in the Global Filipino Practice and Service Category.
She serves as the Branch Manager of East Optics in Doha, Qatar, and is a Board Member of the Integrated Philippine Association of Optometrists, Inc. Laguna Chapter.
Lastly, Peliño excelled in the Government Service Category.
As the Chairperson of the Philippine Regulatory Commission’s Board of Optometry, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to the profession. Her contributions were further recognized with the IPAO Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.
