DORSU PARTNERS WITH SIX LOCAL BUSINESSES

/ 26 February 2024

THE Davao Oriental State University partnered with six local businesses for a trademark licensing agreement.

These businesses are Proprietors of Alfagraphics Printshoppe Solution, New Sherryton’s Tailoring Services, Eleven Seventh Wearing Apparel Manufacturing, Techprints Office and School Supplies, KMJ Net Services, and H&EM Garments Services.

They will utilize the university’s logo on their products and services.

A ceremonial signing was held last week to formalize the partnership.

During the ceremony, Venson Sarita, director of the Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management Office, elucidated the stipulations within the Trademark License Agreement, outlining the obligations for both DOrSU and the Licensees.

University President Dr. Roy G. Ponce mentioned the university’s positioning as a regenerative future university and expressed optimism that the new licensees “would integrate this branding into their products and services, aligning with the university’s vision.”

Ponce also underscored the importance of fostering fair trade practices, environmental sustainability, and healthy competition.

The trademark licensing agreement is anchored on the Trademark Registration for the university’s logo granted by the Bureau of Trademarks of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines.

The trademark licensing promises enhanced brand visibility and revenue generation for the university.
