TWO students of the Philippine Science High School Southern Mindanao Campus won awards in the recently concluded International Youth Math Challenge (IYMC) 2023.

Glenne Dannielle Dela Torre clinched the silver medal, while Leona Francine Eugenio bagged the bronze medal.

IYMC is one of the biggest online math competitions for students from all around the world. Since 2018, over 12,500 students worlwide have participated in the competition.

To qualify for the pre-final round, participants must solve at least three (under 18 years) to four (over 18 years) of the five problems correctly.

The math problems vary in topic, difficulty, and subject — from geometry to number theory to make sure that everyone finds interesting problems to work out.

PSHS commended the students for their achievement.
